Lambo is a 5-year-old assassin affiliated with the Bovino Family. He was born in Italy. He comes to Japan to kill Reborn, so he can prove that he is worthy of becoming his own family's boss. He first appears on Tsunayoshi Sawada's window and tries to kill Reborn. However, he is a complete crybaby, and is no match for Reborn. His main choice of weapons are hand grenades, and his future dream is to rule the world. Lambo dresses in a cow suit complete with a tail, and has a huge afro with horns on the sides of his head which gives him the appearance of a bison. He possesses the Ten-Year Bazooka, which switches the target with their own self from ten years later for five minutes. Every time Lambo loses his cool, he uses it on himself, switching with his 15-year-old self. In this form, he switches his cow suit for a casual suit and cow-print shirt. Lambo is hated by far the most by Hayato Gokudera as he often calls Lambo "stupid cow" or "idiot cow".

Adult Lambo is seen often in the Katekyo Hitman Reborn! anime and manga. He is referred to as an adult for unknown reasons as he is only 15. He is summoned on mostly accidentally when Lambo becomes distressed or upset. Adult Lambo can only appear in the present time when the younger Lambo uses the Ten-Year Bazooka. He is first seen in the manga chapter 7 and the anime episode 3. Also Adult Lambo seems to have unintentionally got Hana Kurokawa to fall for him. Although Adult Lambo is shown to be handsome, he remains a crybaby, and is often heard saying things that imply his future involves cleaning toilets. He also begins many sentences with "Yare yare" (loosely translated as "Oh my!"; "Oh gosh!" or "My oh my" in Viz's translation), and often has one eye closed. He is also able to summon lightning, which he can channel into his horns. He can then charge his opponent in an attack called Electrico Cornuta, though he often misses his opponent. However, whenever Bianchi sees Adult Lambo, she starts trying to kill him because he looks exactly like her ex-boyfriend, Romeo.

Due to the unstable nature of the past affecting the future, Adult Lambo will only know of certain events after the adjustment in the past. At one point, he does not know of the Vongola Rings, but during the tournament, the future Lambo has changed and knows of the tournament and the rings.

Lambo was introduced as an annoying crybaby assassin after Reborn. Soon after his arrival to Japan, he was made to cry by Reborn ignoring him after Lambo's countless efforts to get Reborn's attention. Soon after he was taken in by Nana Sawada who treated him like her own son. He is then befriended by I-pin who acts as Lambo's playmate and supervisor as she is often seen telling Lambo off but Lambo rarely pays attention and thinks the whole thing is a game. He again during the Introduction arc makes another friend called Futa. Futa looks after and plays with Lambo when Nana cannot. During the Kokuyo arc, Lambo played no significant role. But in the Varia arc, Lambo plays a bigger role when he is chosen to be the Vongola Thunder guardian by Iemitsu Sawada and is given one of the Half-Vongola rings. As a result of Xanxus claiming to be the Vongola tenth, the Vongola Guardians had to have a battle for the Vongola rings. Lambo faced up against Levi A than. When Lambo found the match too much for him, he jumped into the Ten-Year Bazooka. When Adult Lambo appeared, he decided to fight but was also no match for Levi A than so he also plunged into the Ten-Year Bazooka and brought out the 25-year old Lambo. The 25-year old Lambo proved more than a match for Levi A than. As the 25-year old Lambo was about to deliver the finishing blow to Levi A than, he was switched with the 5-year old Lambo. Levi A than took this opportunity to finish off Lambo but was interrupted by Tsuna saving Lambo and therefore ending the match. Tsuna then lost his and Lambo's ring but went on to win the ring battle. Lambo currently keeps his thunder ring in his afro. During the Future arc Lambo is transported to the future through the Ten-Year Bazooka and how he was caught in the bazooka is unknown but he is currently stuck in the future with Tsuna, Hayato Gokudera, Takeshi Yamamoto, Kyoko Sasagawa, Haru Miura, I-pin and Chrome Dokuro. Lambo is currently helping in the assault on the Millefiore Base along with Chrome Dokuro, I-Pin and Kusakabe.

The 5 year old Lambo is typically seen toting weapons like machine guns and bazookas. In his 5 year old form his only interesting ability is his Electrico Cuio (Electric Skin) which allows electricity to harmlessly pass through his body. He also possess the 10-year bazooka which allows Lambo to be replaced with an older version of himself from 10 years later.

In his 15 year old form Lambo is slightly more powerful. He still possesses Electrico Cuio. However he has another ability called "Thunder Set" in which he summons lightning and charges it through his body. "Thunder Set" is followed by another technique called Electrico Cornata which charges lighting through Lambo's horns and causes severe shock to whoever the attack connects with. However it rarely works as it is short range and easy to dodge.

The 25 year old Lambo is considerably powerful. He has invented the Perfect Electrico Cuio in which no form of electricity can do him harm. He also created the Electrico Reverse which allows him to take electricity passing through him and gathers into his hand. He then strikes it down allowing the electricity to disperse through the ground. His final ability is an enhanced version of Electrico Cornata in which he can use the electricity in his horns and give it the shape of a blade which makes up for some of its short range.
